Tabitha Mattison is a seasoned senior care professional with a background in assisted living administration, home healthcare, and hospice education. She completed her Florida Assisted Living Administrator Core Training and earned her Core Certification through the University of South Florida in 2018. In 2025, she became a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), further strengthening her commitment to high-quality dementia care and education.
Tabitha’s passion for senior care is deeply personal. It began while helping care for her own grandparents—an experience that opened her eyes to how challenging and overwhelming the aging journey can be, especially when families don’t know where to turn. Learning along the way inspired her lifelong mission: to share knowledge, provide guidance, and help ease the burden for seniors and their loved ones so they can make confident, compassionate decisions.
Professionally, Tabitha has served as a Life Enrichment Director and Community Educator, where she found purpose in advocating for seniors, empowering families, and connecting them with meaningful resources. She remains actively involved in veteran-focused organizations, such as Flight to Honor. She is dedicated to helping older adults maintain independence with dignity through her current role at Assisting Hands Home Care.
Outside of work, Tabitha is happiest spending time with her absolute best friend and soulmate, Wayne, whom she met in 2018. Together, they share a blended family that includes four children, two daughters-in-love, three granddaughters, and a very spoiled Cocker Spaniel. They enjoy exploring mountains and waterfalls, traveling together, and engaging in some seriously competitive (and fun) heated cornhole games.
Tabitha believes that informed care changes lives—and that no family should have to navigate the aging process alone.
